Update following announcement of new provincial COVID restrictions:
Alberta’s new COVID restrictions validate our choice to require proof of vaccination for attendees, by allowing us to fall under the Restrictions Exemption Program. This essentially allows us to deliver a fulsome conference with minimal limitations, while still requiring standard safety protocols like masks and social distancing.
The Banff Springs Hotel has also confirmed that they will also be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program, which allows us to proceed with the conference in their facility as planned. All hotel guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination or negative rapid test, so please ensure you bring your proof of vaccination with you, even if you have already submitted it to us.
We hope this update provides you with the confidence to still attend our conference in Banff.
COVID Protocols – We are all mad here!
Based on Alberta Health recommendations, as well as the results of our recent RCA survey, we have made the decision to require everyone attending the conference to have proof of full COVID vaccination (2 vaccinations with the second at least 2 weeks prior to the conference). As per Alberta Health, masks will be required at all times (other than when seated to eat/drink) during the conference.
Valid electronic or paper copies will be accepted. Albertans can provide their immunization records through the MyHealthRecords app. Other Provincial, Territorial, or Federal equivalents records will also be accepted. Please note that we may require valid photo identification as well. Your personal health records will not be scanned, saved, or shared.
Please do not attend any conference events if you are feeling sick or have any symptoms. We encourage all conference participants to reference the COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist to reduce the risk of transmission.
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is committed to protecting the health and safety of its guests. The hotel continues to follow health guidelines with stringent cleaning, sanitizing and distancing measures, protocols, and procedures in place.
In short, be respectful and wash your hands. All those disobeying protocols will be sent to the Queen of Hearts for beheading!”

The crazies, they make me feel sane
